PAM v. 3.159.1 - 25.10.2024
In this release, we introduced several enhancements to our Payment Application Management (PAM) platform, further optimizing the management, configuration and operational efficiency of SmartPOS devices. This update, supported by critical microservices advancements, empowers our users to streamline device management, enhance data access, and improve overall operational productivity.
Key Features & Updates
File Transfer Feature
The primary highlight of this release is the introduction of the File Transfer feature within PAM. This functionality allows customers to transfer files directly between their PC and SmartPOS devices, facilitating seamless access to the device’s file system.
Customers can now:
- Extract logs for troubleshooting
- Update internal databases and files efficiently
- Upload product lists for their application
This feature enables more direct interaction with SmartPOS devices, allowing for faster updates and enhanced data management, thereby reducing the need for manual, device-based tasks.
Remote Control Feature
Alongside File Transfer, we are excited to introduce Remote Control functionality, which empowers customers to manage and control their SmartPOS devices from any location.
This enhancement provides significant operational flexibility, allowing users to:
- Troubleshoot issues remotely
- Update settings or configurations without physical access
- Monitor and support SmartPOS devices across multiple locations with ease
With Remote Control customers can reduce downtime and increase device uptime by addressing issues and applying updates instantly, making it an invaluable tool for operations spread across diverse regions or locations.
Enhanced Reporting and Data Management
We've refined Reports and Data Warehouse filtering, delivering greater flexibility and precision for data analysis. Customers can now filter reports more effectively, improving insights into transaction history and device performance.
Improved Administrative Tools and Functionality
To support smoother operations and administrative control, we have introduced or enhanced several backend functionalities:
- Contract Number Validation: A backend API call has been added to validate contract numbers, ensuring smoother onboarding and device registration processes.
- Prefilled Form Data for Business Registration: PAM will now auto-fill form data when a business registration number is recognized, enhancing the efficiency of registration workflows.
- Page Limit Functionality on Keep Alive Page: A new page limit feature for the Keep Alive page aids in navigating high volumes of data with ease.
- Device Installation Reapplication: Administrators can now reapply device installation configurations selectively, enabling rapid redeployment when needed.
Security and Compliance Enhancements
This release introduces a P2PE (Point-to-Point Encryption) label, aligning with Bluefin’s commitment to secure payment processing by adding an extra layer of encryption compliance for transaction data.
User Interface and Usability Improvements
To improve the user experience within PAM:
- Translation Fixes: Addressed multiple language and translation issues to support international users more effectively.
- 3D Transaction Status Descriptions: Added detailed descriptions for 3D-secured transaction statuses and reasons, allowing users to quickly identify transaction outcomes.
Looking Ahead
The latest update to PAM marks another milestone in enhancing SmartPOS management for our customers. With robust new tools like the File Transfer feature, Remote Control feature and expanded data management capabilities, we continue to ensure that our platform remains agile, secure, and ready to meet the evolving demands of payment processing.
